Flexible Lab Fixtures: An Overview

Your unique lab design warrants lab fixtures tailored to your needs. Read more below on our water purification, gas flow, and utility service stations that can be incorporated into one or several flexible fixtures for installation in your lab.

We understand that many labs would be incomplete without easy access to pure water as a solvent, as a cleaning agent for glassware and sensitive instruments, and for use in an autoclave. This is why we will provide you with efficient water purifiers, should you choose. You may select from an array of water purifying faucets, from gooseneck to single and double-valve faucets.

To create a system uniquely adapted to your space, you can combine services for a double-service fixture, such as a gas faucet with two adjacent purified water valves.

Water Purification Systems

Epoxy resin is a highly durable surface material that provides excellent resistance to heat, moisture, bacteria, and corrosive chemicals. Education labs, industry testing labs, and chemical research labs commonly put this material to use.

Eyewash Stations

Eye wash stations protect the eyes from irritation or infection by physical or chemical irritants and pathogens. Spray heads on our eye wash stations come in many configurations such as swing-down, right- or left-hand deck mounted, and recessed options to mitigate obstructions at the sink and ease accessibility in an emergency. Stations we fit to your lab may carry an internal drain system and be furnished with a strainer to prevent debris from accumulating on valves and spray heads.

Emergency Shower Heads

From floor to ceiling, laboratory safety showers, too, exist in various shapes and sizes. Emergency heads may be ceiling-mounted, wall-mounted, or floor-mounted as a standing shower. Their heads can be exposed or recessed into the wall or ceiling to the soffit. Each of these features a thermostatic valve which reliably mixes hot and cold water to produce tepid water temperature immediately upon activation.

Services and Utilities

Overhead Service Panels

Looking for a fixture that supports a lab with a fluid and often changing workflow? Try coupling mobile lab benches with overhead, ceiling service panels. Connected to mobile casework via umbilical cords included in their furnishing, overhead panels glide about the room as you move the attached furniture. Panels may provide utilities such as power, data, service outlets, compressed air, vacuum, and even specialty gases. Customizing a service panel can maximize lab floor and counter space by limiting nuisances such as power strips and piping.

Wall Mounted Service Panels

Service panels may instead be wall-mounted and recessed or exposed, swing out or pull-out. The convenience of lab utility placement in the context of the fitted lab can greatly enhance the ease and efficiency of any work performed there.
